- The New York Giants' surprising early success, leading the NFC East after four games despite losing key players Jaxson Dart and Brian Burns for the season, highlights their grit and resilience.
- The Dallas Cowboys' defense underperformed significantly despite high expectations and new talent, failing to reach even an average level of play with new coordinator Christian Parker.
- The Philadelphia Eagles' defense has been a major letdown, struggling particularly on the defensive front to generate pressure, falling short of preseason expectations despite high hopes for Vic Fangio's unit.
