Elden Ring Patch 1.17 is now live bringing support for the Tarnished Pack DLC as well as balance adjustments

• FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have released Patch 1.17 for Elden Ring, adding support for the Tarnished Pack DLC and implementing various gameplay balance adjustments across weapons, skills, sorceries, and incantations.
• The Tarnished Pack DLC, launching on August 28, introduces two new starting classes (Heavy Knight and Idus Knight), three new Spectral Steed customization skins, four new armor sets, and new NPC invasion events in Caelid and Leyndell.
• The patch includes numerous weapon and shield balance changes such as increased critical hit power for some weapons, reduced stamina consumption for thrown attacks, and enhanced guard boost for many shields, alongside improvements to parry performance and spell adjustments.
• PvP-specific tweaks include increased damage taken while attacking with Rakshasa's Great Katana and reduced effectiveness of certain incantations against other players to balance competitive play.
• Several bug fixes address issues with Great Katana critical hits and parrying, as well as PC-specific fixes for mouse camera control during NPC dialogue and system menu settings reset functionality; the update is mandatory for online play.
