Fowler: Josh Downs asks for trade out of Indy

Key Points:

• Josh Downs has requested a trade from the Indianapolis Colts amid the team's ongoing fire sale, which has already seen key players like Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner traded away.
• Downs has struggled this season with 26 receptions for 307 yards and no touchdowns, and his performance has been hampered by injuries to teammates and quarterback Daniel Jones' inconsistency.
• Despite being the Colts' primary wide receiver option due to injuries to Alec Pierce and Keenan Allen, Downs has shown limited upside and is currently viewed as a low-ceiling WR3/FLEX option in fantasy football.
• Several other NFL players are dealing with injuries impacting their availability for Week 8 games, including Saquon Barkley (hamstring/back), Javon Kinlaw (knee), Stefon Diggs (hand/hamstring), and Jaylen Waddle (chest), with varying degrees of uncertainty around their participation.
• The Tennessee Titans claimed defensive player Jonah Laulu off waivers from the Raiders to bolster their depth, while Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle's status remains uncertain due to a chest injury aggravated in Week 7.
