Lakers' Bronny James, Cameron Carr Assigned to G League Roster Ahead of Coachella Valley's Opener
Bleacher Report • • sports
Key Points:
- The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned guards Bronny James and Cameron Carr to their G League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Lakers, ahead of the team's season opener in Palm Desert.
- Bronny James, 22, has played 74 games over three seasons with the Lakers, averaging 2.5 points and one assist in 7.7 minutes per game, while Cameron Carr, 21, has appeared in only three games without recording any stats.
- Both players were unlikely to receive significant NBA playing time this season due to the Lakers' depth at the guard position, with key players like Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, Collin Sexton, and Quentin Grimes occupying the rotation.
- The Lakers have a relatively set rotation at guard and small forward positions, making it difficult for James or Carr to earn meaningful minutes outside of garbage time.
