MARC Train introduces new service between Montgomery County, Baltimore

• The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) will expand MARC Train service starting September 28, offering a new weekday connection between Montgomery County and Baltimore.

• The new service will reduce commute times significantly, cutting travel from Silver Spring to Baltimore Camden Station from 118 minutes to 57 minutes, and from Gaithersburg to Baltimore from 137 minutes to 78 minutes.
• The service will connect multiple stations including Brunswick, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Silver Spring, College Park, Laurel, and Baltimore, with one train departing each morning to Baltimore and one returning in the evening.
• To implement this new route without additional costs, the MTA will adjust existing Brunswick and Camden Line train schedules.
