Key Points:
- Wizards of the Coast will announce a new Magic: The Gathering set tonight at New York Comic Con, confirmed by Mark Rosewater on Tumblr.
- The upcoming set is likely part of the Universes Beyond series, as all other 2027 in-universe sets have been revealed and the panel description hints at "universe" and "beyond."
- A Marvel-themed set is the most probable announcement, given the Comic Con setting in New York and previous Marvel Magic sets' focus on the city.
- Speculation centers on whether the set will highlight the X-Men or the magic/cosmic side of Marvel, with many expecting a dedicated X-Men set due to their limited representation in previous Marvel Magic releases.
- The Marvel Super Heroes set featured some X-Men characters like Wolverine and Storm but lacked key figures such as Professor X and Magneto, fueling anticipation for a more focused X-Men expansion.
