Milestones for Mexico, Brazil, Idaho and South Carolina Temples

• The San Luis Potosí Mexico Temple will hold a media day on September 21, 2026, with a public open house from September 24 to October 10, and its dedication by Elder Dale G. Renlund on November 1, 2026, broadcast to local congregations.
• The groundbreaking for the Santos Brazil Temple is scheduled for August 1, 2026, presided over by Elder Ronald M. Barcellos, amid over 1.5 million Church members in Brazil and numerous temples either operating, announced, or under construction.
• The Caldwell Idaho Temple will be constructed on a 19.2-acre site with plans for an 82,000-square-foot multistory building, joining ten other temples in Idaho, which has over 480,000 Latter-day Saints in about 1,300 congregations.
• The Greenville South Carolina Temple will be built on an 8.8-acre site with an 18,850-square-foot single-story design, becoming the second temple in the state to serve nearly 47,000 members in around 90 congregations.
• Both the Caldwell Idaho and Greenville South Carolina Temples were announced by President Russell M. Nelson in April 2025, emphasizing the importance of temple worship in spiritual growth and preparation for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
