Key Points:
- The Indianapolis Colts have begun a potential rebuild by trading key players like Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner but are currently pausing further trades until after their Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
- The Dallas Cowboys, despite a 3-5 record, are unlikely to trade wide receiver George Pickens and may consider bolstering their struggling defense by acquiring pass rusher Josh Sweat from the Arizona Cardinals.
- The Chicago Bears, after acquiring defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, could pursue additional defensive help, with Miami Dolphins pass rusher Josh Uche identified as a potential target to strengthen their pass rush rotation.
- Contrary to rumors, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly not actively pursuing a wide receiver trade before the deadline, despite fan interest and previous acquisitions in recent seasons.
- Jacksonville Jaguars' first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. has not met expectations and could be available for trade, with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, both dealing with wide receiver injuries, possibly showing interest.
