Padres Activate Walker Buehler Onto NLDS Roster
MLB Trade Rumors • • sports
Key Points:
- The Padres reinstated Walker Buehler from the paternity list ahead of Game 3 in their Division Series against the Brewers, removing Randy Vásquez from the roster.
- San Diego lost both games in Milwaukee, with Robbie Ray struggling in Game 1 and Michael King pitching well in Game 2, which ended on a walk-off single by Jackson Chourio.
- The Padres relied heavily on key relievers in both games, and Vásquez, intended as a long reliever, did not appear and will miss the rest of the series barring injuries.
- Nick Pivetta is scheduled to start Game 3 for the Padres, facing Dustin May for the Brewers in a must-win situation for San Diego, with future pitching plans yet to be announced.
