Ravens Finalize Trade for Jacoby Brissett
Baltimore Ravens • • sports
Key Points:
- The Baltimore Ravens traded a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick to acquire veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, with the Arizona Cardinals covering more than half of his remaining salary.
- Brissett, a 33-year-old with 73 career starts across seven teams, will start for the Ravens in their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers, aiming to improve an offense struggling without injured Lamar Jackson.
- The Ravens have lost four consecutive games, scoring under 14 points in each, largely due to quarterback injuries, with undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano starting recent games.
- While the team is not ruling out Lamar Jackson's return this season, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is expected to miss the remainder of the year.
- Ravens players express cautious optimism about Brissett's experience helping stabilize the offense, but acknowledge that broader team issues need addressing beyond the quarterback position.
