Takeaways from College Football Week 5: Miami looks elite, Alabama’s offense rolls

Key Points:

• Miami remains unproven as the best team in college football due to a relatively weak schedule and lack of significant challenges, with a key test against Notre Dame looming.
• Alabama's offense, led by quarterback Keelon Russell, has been dominant, scoring 45 or more points in each of their first five games, marking their best offensive start since 2018.
• Several coaches on the hot seat experienced mixed results in Week 5, with Mike Norvell and Luke Fickell securing strong wins, while others like Shane Beamer, Mike Locksley, Deion Sanders, and Tosh Lupoi faced setbacks and growing fan frustration.
• Missouri, under Eli Drinkwitz, earned a significant victory over Florida, marking Drinkwitz’s first regular-season win against a top-10 team and solidifying the Tigers' ranking.
• Chip Kelly’s return as Northwestern’s offensive coordinator has revitalized the team, highlighted by a dominant rushing performance and a major win over Penn State, signaling Northwestern as a formidable Big Ten contender.
