Key Points:
- The new trailer for “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino, prominently references the controversial Bruce Lee fight scene from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” despite the film focusing on Brad Pitt's character and excluding Leonardo DiCaprio.
- The original Bruce Lee scene depicted a fictional fight between Cliff Booth and Bruce Lee, which sparked public objections from Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, who criticized the portrayal as inaccurate and damaging to her father's legacy.
- Quentin Tarantino has defended the scene, claiming it was based on real anecdotes about Bruce Lee’s personality and boasting, though the controversy continues to provoke debate among audiences and critics.
- As the new film prepares for release, the emphasis on the Bruce Lee fight in marketing materials suggests the contentious portrayal may reignite discussions about the accuracy and impact of Lee’s depiction in Tarantino’s work.
