Three things I want to see when Notre Dame plays Navy
One Foot Down • • sports
Key Points:
- The No. 5 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish face Navy for the 99th time, needing a decisive win despite the game likely hurting their strength of schedule.
- The focus is on a straightforward, no-nonsense approach from Notre Dame, avoiding excessive play adjustments especially on offense, and dominating Navy's weaker defense.
- Coach Marcus Freeman appears open to making strategic changes, such as using more wide receivers, signaling a willingness to shake things up after a recent loss.
- Emphasis is placed on player safety, with the team needing to stay healthy ahead of their crucial upcoming game against Miami, which could significantly impact their playoff chances.
- The overall message is to play hard, make necessary adjustments, and prioritize health to prepare for a potentially wild and pivotal season.
