Key Points:
- The Yellowjackets team returns to New Jersey after 19 months stranded in the wilderness, with season four premiering on November 20, showcasing their homecoming as "American heroes" despite the dark secrets they carry.
- The series continues its narrative style, alternating between past and present, highlighting the shock of seeing a young Shauna return without her best friend Jackie.
- Teenage Van admits that the survivors were not supposed to leave the wilderness, hinting at the disturbing events, including cannibalism, that contrast with their heroic public image.
- Paramount+ released a promotional clip featuring Alanis Morissette dedicating her 1999 MTV Unplugged performance of "Ironic" to the Yellowjackets survivors, adding a poignant and ironic layer to the storyline.
- The dedication underscores the show's themes of hope and survival amid tragic and ironic circumstances, as Morissette's song references a deadly plane crash similar to the series' premise.
