A Switch 2 Fidget Toy With A Weird Removable Faceplate

Key Points:

• The EasySMX S10 Lite is a budget-friendly Switch 2 controller priced at $40, significantly cheaper than most competitors and Nintendo's Pro Controller, offering tactile buttons, Hall effect sticks, motion controls, and strong haptics.
• Despite its appealing features and compact design, the controller's removable semi-transparent faceplate is poorly designed, feeling cheap and wonky, which detracts from the overall experience.
• The faceplate is marketed with misleading claims about DIY customization options, but EasySMX does not currently sell replacement or custom faceplates, causing confusion and frustration among users.
• The controller includes useful modern features such as rear mappable buttons, nine-axis motion controls, a Turbo function, and compatibility toggles for Switch, PC, Android, and iOS, but some design choices like stiff stick clicks and rigid buttons may not suit all gamers.
• While the S10 Lite may appeal to those prioritizing affordability and tactile feedback, it falls short compared to competitors like the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C, especially due to the problematic faceplate and questionable marketing practices.
