Key Points:
- Switching from Chrome to another Android browser involves trial and error, with several options offering unique features that complicate the choice.
- Bare browser stands out for its minimal design and extensive extension support, allowing customization similar to desktop browsers, though it remains in alpha and not ideal for daily use.
- Iceraven, a Firefox fork, offers full extension support and enhanced flexibility but suffers from performance issues and unreliable extension compatibility.
- Arc Search uses AI creatively to provide a decluttered search experience and effective tab suspension but will shut down in November 2026, limiting its long-term viability.
- Brave emerged as the most polished and privacy-focused browser, featuring built-in ad-blocking, YouTube Premium features, content filtering, and cross-device sync, making it the author's default browser despite occasional website compatibility issues.
