Amex Travel Adds Airbnb Bookings, New $250 Platinum Credit

• Starting October 22, 2026, American Express Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders can book over 1 million Airbnb listings worldwide directly through AmexTravel.com, expanding accommodation options beyond traditional hotels.
• Eligible prepaid Airbnb bookings through AmexTravel.com earn Membership Rewards points: 5x for Platinum and Business Platinum cards, 3x for Classic Green cards, and 2x for other eligible cards.
• The existing $600 annual Hotel Credit for Amex Platinum cards is renamed the Lodging Credit and now includes eligible Airbnb Luxe stays of at least two nights booked via AmexTravel.com, with the credit split into two $300 semiannual credits.
• Starting January 1, 2027, Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings require a minimum two-night stay to use the $300 semiannual credit, and the $600 credit may not fully cover expensive Airbnb Luxe stays.
• After booking an eligible Airbnb Luxe stay, cardholders can receive a new $250 statement credit toward Airbnb Experiences purchased directly through Airbnb within the same calendar year, adding value to the partnership.
