Assassin's Creed Hexe Exclusive Character, Story Details Leak

Key Points:

• Ubisoft is developing Assassin’s Creed Hexe, a new mainline entry set in 16th-century Germany during the witch trials, featuring a darker tone and a more linear gameplay experience compared to recent RPG-style entries.
• The protagonist, Petra (likely a placeholder name), is a strong-willed woman accused of witchcraft, with key characters including her compassionate mother Brigitte, orthodox father Konrad, and a mysterious older healer named Mother Gertrud who provides refuge.
• The story involves an antagonistic group called "The Order of the Lamb," likely a Templar front, and will feature locations such as Augsburg and Würzburg, with a modern-day character named Anna possibly linked to the Abstergo or Animus storyline.
• Development faced setbacks in April 2024 when about 50 developers were reassigned during internal restructuring, but the project remains on track with a projected release no earlier than the second half of 2027.
• Casting details reveal a diverse supporting cast with complex motivations, hinting at a rich narrative exploring family dynamics, persecution, and survival during a brutal historical period.
