New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan called the team's 45-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons "embarrassing" and emphasized the need for more urgency due to the division rivalry.
The Saints' defense struggled significantly, allowing 205 rushing yards and five touchdowns to the Falcons, highlighting ongoing issues on both sides of the ball.
The team has allowed at least 340 yards and 30 points in three of their first four games, while their offense has contributed eight turnovers, including an NFL-high five lost fumbles.
Saints quarterback Tyler Shough leads the league with five fumbles and is tied for the most fumbles lost, exacerbating the team's difficulties in staying competitive.
Despite the struggles, the NFC South remains relatively weak, with the Falcons and Panthers leading the division at 2-2, and the upcoming Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings will be a key test for the Saints' defense.
