Key Points:
- "Dancing with the Stars" has benched pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy following an inappropriate social media post targeting judge Carrie Ann Inaba, with BBC Studios emphasizing the importance of workplace well-being.
- Chmerkovskiy's post, which referenced a controversial 2022 Oscars incident, was a response to Inaba's critique of his wife Jenna Johnson's routine, but he later apologized for his poor judgment and the unintended implications.
- As a result, Chmerkovskiy will not participate in next week's show, and his current partner, Jenna Dewan, will instead dance with pro Alan Bersten, who was previously eliminated.
- BBC Studios confirmed Dewan is aware of the changes and remains professional, while the show continues to air Tuesdays on ABC and stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
