Eagles-Rams inactives: Lane Johnson is OUT
Bleeding Green Nation • • sports
Key Points:
- Lane Johnson was ruled questionable due to personal reasons shortly before inactives were announced, marking a significant loss for the Eagles, who perform better with him on the field.
- With both Lane Johnson and Fred Johnson out, rookie Markel Bell will start at right tackle for the first time, facing a manageable matchup but under considerable pressure due to limited depth on the offensive line.
- The Eagles will also be without key players DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Nick Epps, and others, losing their top offensive lineman, receiver, and tight end for the game.
- The Eagles have no emergency third quarterback available, with Tanner McKee reportedly overtaking Andy Dalton as the backup, leading to Dalton's inactivation.
- The Rams have no major surprises aside from tight end Colby Parkinson being out; however, they maintain depth at the position despite recent roster moves.
