Florida TikTok 'Grey Hat Hacker' accused of exposing women's data

Key Points:

• Mark Stephen Asea, a Florida TikTok creator known as a "demonologist" and "Grey Hat Hacker," was arrested on Sept. 30 on a felony charge for allegedly exposing women's private information online and tracking their movements through their phones.
• Asea was initially arrested in April on stalking and computer-related charges, which were dropped in May, but prosecutors reopened the case in September with a new computer-access charge.
• Police allege Asea posted private details about two women on TikTok without their consent, including passwords, purchase history, and location data obtained through unauthorized access to their devices.
• One woman reported that Asea remotely accessed her computer under the guise of tech support and later claimed to have installed a virus to monitor her activity, while also posting her private photos online.
• Asea faces arraignment on Nov. 19, and the case highlights concerns about privacy violations and unauthorized data access on social media platforms like TikTok.
