NBC Sports • • sports
Key Points:
- The Seattle Seahawks continue to rely on strong, steady defense, ranking fourth among fantasy defenses in 2026, exemplified by their recent performance limiting the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs to just three points and 213 yards.
- Several defenses are highlighted as reliable fantasy options in Week 8, including the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, and Cleveland Browns, each facing opponents with struggling offenses or favorable matchups.
- Streamer defenses such as the Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Commanders present potential short-term fantasy value due to their upcoming matchups against underperforming offenses.
- Caution is advised for starting the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings defenses this week, as the Seahawks face a high-powered Chicago Bears offense and the Vikings confront the Detroit Lions, one of the league's top offenses in yardage and scoring.
