Key Points:
- Apple has officially launched iOS 27.2, reintroducing the Messages feature called "Suggestions," which had been delayed from the initial iOS 27 release.
- The Suggestions feature provides one-tap action buttons based on conversation context, helping users perform tasks like creating reminders, notes, or adding events to the calendar.
- In iOS 27.2, Suggestions have been fine-tuned to appear less frequently and only when contextually relevant, addressing earlier issues of inappropriate or unnecessary prompts.
- Users can customize the types of Suggestions they receive through the Settings menu under Apps > Messages > Suggested Actions.
- The feature aims to enhance user productivity by leveraging AI to recognize keywords, locations, and people in messages to suggest helpful actions.
