9to5Google • • general
Key Points:
- Google has introduced a new "Shop devices" portal within the Play Store, allowing customers to purchase Samsung Galaxy smartphones alongside Pixel phones and Watches directly through the Google Store.
- Previously, Samsung devices were only available through selective offers or Play Points redemptions, but now they are fully integrated into a dedicated shopping tab featuring a range of Pixel and Samsung products.
- The portal includes devices such as the Galaxy S26 series, Pixel 10a, Pixel Watch 4, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and more, with customers able to use Google Store credit and receive 10% Google One cashback on purchases.
- Prices for Samsung Galaxy S26 series devices remain unchanged in this new portal, offering competitive pricing without markup from Google.
- This move enhances purchasing flexibility for consumers by combining Google and Samsung device sales in one convenient location, though it may not appeal to all buyers.
