I tried Ray-Ban Meta's camera-free AI glasses - 5 unexpected uses that surprised me

Key Points:

• Meta's Ray-Ban Audio glasses are essentially sunglasses with built-in speakers and Meta's AI assistant, designed for hands-free communication and convenience without a camera, addressing privacy concerns associated with camera-equipped smart glasses.
• Key features include live language translation through the glasses, allowing seamless conversations abroad without needing to look at a phone, and a personal AI assistant for quick fact-checking or information retrieval during conversations or presentations.
• The glasses offer screen-free navigation with audio directions that allow users to stay aware of their surroundings, making them useful for driving or exploring new places without constantly checking a phone.
• Hands-free calling and messaging enable discreet communication, especially useful in situations where accessing a phone is inconvenient or potentially unsafe, though the glasses are not an emergency device and require a phone connection.
• Designed to keep users connected while minimizing phone use, the glasses help parents and others stay present in social settings by handling calls, messages, reminders, and media playback through a familiar and comfortable Ray-Ban frame without isolating the wearer from their environment.
