Key Points:

iOS 27.2 beta 3 introduces several design updates to the Apple Books app, focusing on enhancing the reading experience.
New features include progress bars for tracking reading location and a redesigned bottom-right menu with a three-dot icon styled in Liquid Glass for consistency with other apps.
The bookmark button has been moved to the upper-right corner as a standalone feature, while the 'X' button is now in the upper-left and the larger 'Back' button is positioned in the lower-left.
These changes aim to improve usability by making bookmarks more accessible and providing clearer navigation controls.
The updates may be in anticipation of the iPhone Duo, potentially encouraging Apple to further invest in the Books app to compete with dominant e-reader platforms like Kindle.
