Key Points:
- Apple Pencil support for the iPhone Duo will be available much sooner than initially expected, arriving next week with the iOS 27.2 update.
- Originally, Apple had stated that Apple Pencil support would come "later this year," leading to assumptions it would launch in December, but iOS 27.2's release is advancing this timeline.
- The iPhone Duo only supports the Apple Pencil USB-C model, meaning users with older Pencil versions will need to purchase the compatible USB-C Apple Pencil, currently priced at $69 on Amazon.
- The iOS 27.2 release candidate already includes Apple Pencil support, so early adopters with the RC will have access immediately, while the public release is expected around October 26.
- iPhone Duo users can look forward to enhanced functionality with Apple Pencil shortly after the device's launch, improving the device's appeal for creative and productivity tasks.
