SamMobile • • technology
Key Points:
- Samsung's SmartThings app has received a major UI redesign, initially launched for iPhones and now rolling out to select Galaxy and other Android devices with version 1.8.51.30.
- The updated app features a modern, lighter color scheme, a compact floating tab bar at the bottom, and a top bar with quick access buttons for QR codes, location selection, map view, device addition, and options.
- The Home tab displays favorite devices and routines in a more compact card format, which can be resized by long-pressing, while the Devices tab organizes smart home devices by room with options to edit layouts and add furniture or structural elements.
- Despite the refreshed look, the Android version does not yet incorporate the Liquid Glass design language found in the iOS version of the app.
