Key Points:
- Marvel Comics will shut down its Marvel Unlimited digital subscription service on December 7, 2026, replacing it with a new app operated by Webtoon launching on November 16, 2026.
- The new Marvel Comics Powered By Webtoon app will offer the same extensive digital library of over 35,000 comics, including Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios titles, with enhanced mobile and web reading features.
- The subscription model will change to two tiers: a Base plan at $9.99/month with new issues available three months after print, and an Ultimate plan at $12.49/month with new issues available 30 days after print, plus a discounted Ultimate Founding Member offer.
- Existing Marvel Unlimited subscribers retain access until the shutdown date and will receive prorated refunds; they must create new Webtoon accounts and subscriptions to continue accessing the library after migration.
- The transition includes staggered deadlines for sign-ups, refunds, library import, and app removal, with previews and special offers available at New York Comic Con.
