Key Points:
- Marvel Unlimited, the company's comic subscription app, will be discontinued on December 17, 2026, after nearly 19 years of service, with new subscriptions ending immediately.
- It will be replaced by Marvel Comics Powered by Webtoon, launching on November 16, 2026, offering a migration period where users can transfer their library and reading progress to the new app.
- Existing Marvel Unlimited subscribers will retain free access until shutdown, receive prorated refunds on November 16, and will not be charged again after their last payment.
- The new Webtoon-powered app introduces an Ultimate tier allowing access to new issues 30 days after print, a significant improvement over the previous three-month wait, with prices similar to the current Marvel Unlimited subscription.
- The Webtoon app features a more modern user interface and offers a preorder discount for the Ultimate tier, making it potentially more appealing for users seeking earlier access to new comics.
