New York Post • • nation
Key Points:
- Mina Kurdian, 15, was allegedly murdered by her 20-year-old ex-boyfriend, Paul Anthony Cruz Jr., at her Arcadia home after he drunkenly barged in earlier that morning.
- Mina's family believed Cruz was only 17 and would not have approved of their relationship had they known his true age.
- On the morning of the incident, Cruz arrived intoxicated around 5 a.m., got into a fight with Mina, and was kicked out; he returned around 11 a.m. and shot her through a window after failing to break in.
- Cruz fled the scene but was later found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and remains in critical condition in the hospital.
- Mina was described by her family as a happy, adventurous teen who wanted to be a cosmetologist, and they hope Cruz survives to face justice as the investigation continues.
