Odell Beckham Jr.'s arrival could be a message to Jauan Jennings
NBC Sports • • sports
Key Points:
- The Vikings signed Odell Beckham Jr. to strengthen their receiving corps and help the team win games, not just for publicity reasons.
- Jauan Jennings, who signed a one-year, $8 million deal, has underperformed with only two catches for nine yards in three games despite significant playing time.
- Beckham could become the No. 3 receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, potentially benefiting from favorable matchups due to the attention those two draw.
- Beckham’s addition serves as a wakeup call to Jennings and second-year receiver Tai Felton, both of whom have struggled to make an impact this season.
- Overall, the Vikings brought in Beckham because their receiving corps beyond Jefferson and Addison has been insufficient.
