Patriots takeaways: Drake Maye honored, A.J. Brown appears, injury woes and more

Key Points:

• Patriots quarterback Drake Maye earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a strong comeback performance against the Buffalo Bills, completing 22 of 37 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 54 yards.
• Wide receiver Efton Chism III, who made a key one-handed game-winning catch, dismissed trash talk from a Bills safety and may see an expanded role due to injuries to A.J. Brown and Mack Hollins.
• The Patriots' injury list grew, with eight players, including four cornerbacks and key offensive contributors, missing practice; running back Rhamondre Stevenson’s status for Sunday’s game remains uncertain.
• Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown is eligible to return to practice next week after a high ankle sprain but did not practice on Wednesday, with his availability for the upcoming game still unclear.
• The Patriots face a challenge defending Raiders tight ends Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer, who account for a significant portion of their offense, while right guard Ben Brown has solidified his starting role following a strong performance last week.
