Report: Vikings, 49ers had trade in place for WR Jauan Jennings, but Jennings wanted to stay
NBC Sports • • sports
Key Points:
- The Minnesota Vikings added Odell Beckham Jr. to their practice squad, which was seen as a signal to free-agent Jauan Jennings and a potential first step toward trading Jennings back to the San Francisco 49ers.
- According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Vikings and 49ers nearly completed a trade for Jennings, contingent on Jennings participating in a Zoom call with 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch.
- Jennings declined the Zoom call and chose to remain with the Vikings instead of returning to the 49ers.
- Jennings' recent performance includes two catches for 34 yards against the Colts, following a limited production of two catches for nine yards over four games prior.
