- Co-host Colin Jost criticized the GOP's behavior ahead of the midterms, referencing Vice President JD Vance's comment about being jealous of Trump's compliments on butts.
- During Weekend Update, Michael Che made a controversial joke about Israel's election and the ongoing conflict, which prompted a visible reaction from Jost.
- The U.K.'s "Saturday Night Live" Weekend Update has been noted for its more daring and satirical coverage of sensitive topics like Israel's war on Gaza, contrasting with Jost and Che's more cautious approach.
- The article suggests that Jost and Che's recent material, particularly on Israel, has been less sharp compared to their U.K. counterparts, indicating a potential creative limitation.
