Key Points:
- For the first time in history, both BYU and Utah football teams are ranked in the AP Top 10 simultaneously, with BYU at No. 2 and Utah at No. 10 in the 2026 season.
- Both teams remain undefeated at 6-0, making them two of only six FBS teams with perfect records this season.
- Although both programs have frequently appeared in the top 10 individually, they have only shared top 10 status during the same season three times before, all within the last 18 years.
- Past seasons with both teams in the top 10 include 2008, 2021, and 2024, but none saw them ranked simultaneously as high as they are this year.
- BYU has appeared in the AP top 10 in 15 seasons, while Utah has done so in 11 seasons overall.
