Key Points:
- Apple has introduced two new features, Siri Recap and Live Rewind, exclusive to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 with the watchOS 27.3 and iOS 27.3 beta releases.
- Siri Recap uses ambient listening to take notes on daily conversations and generates AI-powered summaries to help users remember key details, with options to auto-delete summaries within seven days unless saved.
- The feature has raised privacy concerns since it involves continuous listening, but Apple assures users that no audio is stored, sensitive data is excluded, and users can opt in or disable the feature at specific times or locations.
- Early user experiences report impressive accuracy and useful detail in Siri Recap summaries, capturing information users might have otherwise forgotten, demonstrating promising functionality despite being in beta.
- Feedback on Siri Recap remains mixed due to privacy considerations, but initial reactions highlight its potential as a powerful AI tool integrated into the Apple Watch ecosystem.
