Why Meghan Markle's Ex-Agent Dropped Her Amid Acting Rumors
StyleCaster • • entertainment
Key Points:
- Meghan Markle's former agent, Ari Emanuel, indicated he no longer manages her career, following reports that WME dropped her in early 2025 due to her being "too demanding" and difficult to work with.
- Despite claims Emanuel is done with Meghan, WME has confirmed they still work with the Duchess of Sussex.
- Meghan was reportedly in early talks for a role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen, which would be her first acting role since 2018, but the offer was allegedly withdrawn due to backlash in the UK.
- Industry insiders suggest there was never a formal offer for Meghan, and that Ritchie may have used her name to generate buzz, with Kim Kardashian reportedly being his preferred choice for the role.
- The potential casting of Kardashian over Meghan adds to ongoing tension between the two, especially following a social media incident involving Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party attended by both parties.
