Long-term continuation of a ketogenic diet may lead to cellular senescence in normal organs and tissues, especially the heart and kidneys. However, the intermittent ketogenic diet did not show the pro-inflammatory effect caused by senescent cells.

We need to take a break from the ketogenic diet, otherwise there may be long-term consequences. This study also shows that the ketogenic diet The beneficial effects may be enhanced by planned rest.

The cellular senescence induced by the ketogenic diet can be eliminated by the senescent cell scavenger Senolytic. In addition, the intermittent ketogenic diet can also prevent the induction of cellular senescence.

Immagino che come tutte le diete va fatta per un periodo breve e non si deve esagerare.

I've heard about problems like constipation, halitosis, muscle cramps, headache, diarrhea, weakness and rash. Not sure about long term side effects 😕

Yes, the keto diet can have side effects, especially during the initial adaptation period known as the "keto flu." Common side effects include headaches, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, irritability, and constipation. Long-term effects might include nutrient deficiencies, liver issues, kidney stones, and an increased risk of heart disease due to high saturated fat intake. It's essential to monitor your health and consult a healthcare professional before starting the diet.
