Intermittent fasting diabetic

Under the supervision of a coach I've practiced fasting for some time. As a diabetic I find that my blood sugars are more stable and I use way less insulin. My doctor was concerned when I started but liked that I had a health coach. One downside is that I have to track my blood sugar constantly. I do have lows which sometimes require me to end my fast early. Are there any other diabetics practicing intermittent fasting? What challenges have you faced? How does your doctor feel about it?

That's interesting to hear.  I was always under the impression it was good for diabetics.

I'm not diabetic but there's been a lot of slack from the medical community on IF and I think more education is needed regarding diet and medicine and those benefits. Making sure you are getting adequate nutrients during your eating window and giving your system a break is a positive.
