Is high blood pressure highly hereditary?

There are many health conditions that come from genetics.

So I have a question here.

If someone's parents have high blood pressure, does the possibility to have high blood pressure go up significantly?

I'm curious if the possibilities make difference by the genetics.

A family history of high blood pressure is a risk factor for you developing high blood pressure. Having one or more close family members with high blood pressure before the age of 60 means you have two times the risk of having it also. That means you will need to be more careful if you have family members having high blood pressure.

It does. This is why if a lot of your relatives have high blood pressure, the risk of you having it will go up significantly.

It does but can avoid that if you eat healthy, for example reduce the food contains Na in you life and have much food contains Potassium such as banana, avocado and coconut water.

Research shows that blood pressure is connected to family genetics. So if you have anyone that has high blood pressure, you should pay attention to yours.
