For people with high blood pressure, in instances that you know you Blood pressure is high, how do you cope with it aside from taking medication?

I don't have high blood pressure myself but we have a family history of having it. Alot of my aunts and uncles including my mom has high blood pressure. How do you cope in a situation where your blood pressure is high? I want to learn so I have an idea what to do if it happens. Thank you in advance.

I think one of the real problems with high blood pressure is the lack of symptoms.

So the person experiencing this condition might not even know if at the time.

They might not even realize that they need to do something about it. The best thing to do is to be checked regularly by your doctor and follow the regimen set out by them so as to keep under control and best as possible.

I have high blood pressure. If you are on regular medication you should take it at the same time every day that is to maintain the blood pressure. On day that you feels off, I would take my blood pressure to see where it is. I would slow down what I am doing, rest, drink plenty of water.. recheck my blood pressure again.

The antihypertensive medicine help to reduce blood flow and that the blood pressure will be lower. But most medicine cannot restore elasticity of array walls nor remove the clogged substance.

I think it's really smart of you to learn about high blood pressure since it runs in your family, that way you can take steps to prevent it or catch it early if it does happen. Just remember, small changes like taking a daily walk or cutting back on salty foods can make a big difference in keeping your blood pressure in check!
