Ranch Oyster Crackers is an Xmas snacky dish my mom used to make.
Oyster crackers get transformed into a terrific snack or salad topper when infused with salad oil, ranch seasoning, a few common seasonings and then lightly baked.Ingredients
1/2 cup cooking oil (vegetable, canola)
1 packet ranch dressing mix (scant 1/3 cup)
1 teaspoon each garlic and onion powder
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
2 (9 ounce) packages oyster crackers
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
Place crackers in a large bowl.
Whisk together the dressing ingredients until emulsified and pour over crackers; toss to coat everything well.
Transfer to a single layer in a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring several times.
Let cool completely.
Store in airtight container and enjoy as a snack. May also be served as croutons over salads.
