The apple I was eating so I planted the seed. Has anyone ever grown an apple tree from a seed?

I have not, but my mom did so I learned a thing or two. I remember she used to spray the whole tree with a diluted mixture of dish soap and water to keep bugs from eating the leaves and fruit. I do not know the ratio of soap to water but I am sure Google will 😀!

That's a good trick for keeping most plants pest-free. Just be sure the mixture isn't too strong and that you don't over-apply it or you will kill the plant. I killed a bean plant that was infested with stink bugs last year by spraying too aggressively! 🙈
