      1.Nopales is spanish for cactus.

      3.Yes it is cactus. Nopales is cactus in spanish. We eat them. We make ensalada de nopales (cactus salad) it's cooked cactus with chopped onion, silandro and tomato salt and pepper. We put the cactus salad on a tostada and top it with mexican cheese.

      4.The cactus it self it's a little better but wen cooked it has no taste to me. Wen my parents make ensalada de nopales (cactus salad) it taste like a salsa.
