In India there is a popular street fruit and that grows in water! In hindi it is called "Singara" on Paniphal. In English it is known as water chest nut.Have you ever test this ?

Water chestnut for us is a vegetable. We used it for cooking. I don't like to eat it raw..

Water chestnut, or Singara, sounds like a fascinating and unique fruit! I haven't personally tasted it, but I've heard it's crunchy and sweet, with a flavor that's both earthy and refreshing.
