History of Palm oil

Palm oil is a beautiful golden oil that has a long history, originating from West Africa where it has been used for over 5,000 years. Archaeological evidence shows that palm oil was found in Egyptian tombs dating back to 3,000 BCE. It became a significant commodity during the British Industrial Revolution, used as an industrial lubricant and in soap production. European traders expanded its use globally, leading to the establishment of commercial plantations in Southeast Asia by the early 20th century. Today, palm oil is a major agricultural product, but its production has raised environmental and ethical concerns due to deforestation and labor practices.
