I've had both new and used, and the new ones were definitely worth it. The used ones, some were really good, and others were okay, but I had pretty good luck there too.

I only had one really bad experience with a used car. Got a car not even 2 weeks, on the way to a job interview, on the highway the engine seized! Took them 3 weeks to replace the engine but took out the radio. That was another 3 weeks. Still didn't run right. Told bank come get it.
