18.11 - creek bed

It has been dry where I live for awhile so the shallow creek running through my backyard is dry at the moment. This is what it looks like with no water.

We are finally getting some rain tomorrow. Missed us a bit today... my poor pumpkins were starting to droop.

18.66 - I had to go pour all the rain water I had collected on my plants today. They were turning brown. So it had better rain for me soon so I can collect more rain water!

Sorry for the delay; have you had rain? We had some but the benefits didn't last long. :( What kind of plants do you have?

19.71 - No worries! Life is busy. I did get a quick downpour. I set out a bunch of foil pans to collect rain water (I'm working on a rain chain and a barrel to collect 🤞) but that was almost 2 weeks ago. My area is in a bit of a drought.

Same here regarding drought. Seen a map where soon we will have fire warnings out... to avoid them. Leaves from trees are already falling without fall colour change :(

20.89 - Ugggh! That's the worst! I'll gladly suffer the achey pains rain brings if I get my colorful fall  🍁
I wonder if there is enough water in the well to water the trees in my woods...  🤔

20.90 - We are still in a drought where I live, but no fire warnings, yet. I do not live in an area prone to wildfires. I typically see the "increased fire danger" alert if it has been dry for a time and it is windy.
I think I am going to plan a hiking trip or picnic, something that takes place outdoors. That should make it rain  😉  Here is hoping it rains for everyone who needs it soon  🤞

19.72 - I have a single Roma tomato plant (which is plenty for me), some cat grasses (oat, cat nip, cat grass, alfalfa for my fur babies to eat), and i had a pot of moss roses that my outside cats (an entire family of strays that are adorable and affectionate and now live here) dug up. Ioved the pit inside but my 1 inside cat dug into the moss roses, too. I can only concluded cats do not like moss roses!

19.73 - My house was kind of in flux this spring/summer. Had people moving in and out so there was some shifting of furniture and room allocations. I didn't get my plant area set up the way I wanted to so I have seeds I didn't plant yet. I have grow light bulbs and extra lamps so my plan is to try some small tabletop gardening over the winter 🤞

19.74 - Do you garden? If so, what do you grow? I do not have the space or setup for this aty house, butigjt try this method iny parents' furnace room in the basement. They can't get down there so my SO and I are the ones who take care of the basement anyway.
